![]() After its Adventures | HMS Reliance! The HMS Reliance was a royal naval exploration and transport vessel from Britain. It was purchased by the navy in 1793. It was 90 feet long (27 meters). The ship sailed to Port Jackson in NSW under the command of Henry Waterhouse. In 1800 Waterhouse charted the Antipod Island. There were 3 ships called the Reliance and the nickname of it was the Roundabout. John Hunter orded the ship back to England due to its poor condition. The ship First sailed in december 1793. It was also known for exploring most of the coast of Australia and Pacific Islands.

After the HMS Reliance charted the Antipod Islands, John Hunter decided it was in such poor condition. He ordered it back England. when it arrived it was used as a harbour vessel but 14 years later it was sold off to an unknown bidder.
